Bucharest!  We very much loved our time in Draganesti and now it was time to head to Bucharest and explore the city!  Though this is the fourth time VCS has ministered in Romania, this was the first time we took the train from Draganesti to Bucharest!  A great way to travel!  Once in Bucharest, students had time to run around Old Town before we all met up for dinner.  It was our last official time together and it was wonderful! March 19 - We got an early night's sleep as we had to be in the lobby at 5:45 a.m. to catch our shuttle to the airport. Amazingly, the team was still full of energy and ready to tackle the last challenge - the flight home!  Currently, we're in London Heathrow on our 4-hour layover.  Soon, we'll board flight BA0289 and head to Phoenix!  We're planning on arriving at 6:15 p.m., so be ready!  Your students miss you! Thank you so very much for allowing your student to take a risk and travel half-way around the world to...

We couldn’t think of a better way to end the ministry side of our trip than to minister at several churches! Everyone on the trip served in either leading music, giving their testimony, or preaching! We were fortunate enough to serve at four different churches in the morning and two churches in the evening.  What an experience it was!  We were taken out of our cultural comfort zone, but we were spiritually comforted by being around so many passionate Romanian believers!  All of the students rose to the occasion and “left it all on the field”! We will now clean the mission house, and pack, getting ready for a well deserved rest day in Bucharest!

This morning we enjoyed a great view of Draganesti from atop a hill that overlooks the city. Great photo opps! This afternoon we all enjoyed assisting Pastors Paul and Alex with a youth event in a local park. Hours spent playing soccer, volleyball, Romanian games, all proved to be fun! Afterwards, Bella and Connor led in songs, Carson and Bella shared their testimonies, and, Tonk shared a message. We’re praying that seeds would’ve been planted in this village outreach! Tomorrow we will spend the day in four different churches, each student participating in either preaching, worship, or testimonies. Excited!

Today was our last day to participate in village street ministry, aka, New Testament Project. We all went to a village 30 miles outside of Draganesti at the request of the pastor of that village. Once there, he shared with us his ministry and vision for the people of that village. After praying for the pastor and his village, we gathered into three large teams and hit the streets! It was so encouraging to see our students not fear man as they approached everyone they came in contact with, handing them a New Testament and trying to have a conversation with them about us, them, and the Lord! After three hours of walking the streets we gathered back at the church for more prayer and encouragement! We arrived back at the mission house and we went around the room discussing the day. It was so encouraging to hear how God moved through that experience and, for as much is we were an encouragement to the people of that village, they were an encouragement to us! Tomorrow we will help put on ...
